Both the Academic and Sport programs share a number of important facets. In order to for each student to experience what it is like to attend and live at an American University, our program will be based on the prestigious University of La Verne campus. We want to make sure each student maximizes their chances to attend college by meeting various college administrators to find out what they are looking for in an international student. Each program includes university visits and sightseeing trips.
The Summer Sports program is designed for both boys and girls that are interested in studying and playing soccer or volleyball in America. Students will have the opportunity to experience life as an American student athlete, live life on an American university campus and practice with college coaches. They will enjoy the highest quality athletic experience while receiving exposure to all levels of college coaches. For the soccer tour, it includes attending a professional soccer game in Los Angeles.
Each day the participants will train for 3 hours with university coaches from Division I, II, III, NAIA and Community and Junior Colleges who will run sessions for the program and provide feedback on the player’s level and ability. Each student will also play friendly matches against high level area teams.
There will be at least 3 showcase games played with coaches from all college levels attending. We will have speakers to discuss how college scholarships are given and what universities are looking for when choosing a student athlete.
Scholarships depend on the university, level, division, ability, needs of the program. Obtaining a sport’s scholarship is very competitive. There is no guarantee that a player will receive a scholarship. This program provides exposure to colleges and coaches that would not ever see you otherwise.
